In early autumn, under mild and radiant sunshine, we embarked on a journey to Thailand with anticipation and sincerity, visiting an established enterprise with over 40 years of experience in plastic product manufacturing.

Accompanied by the client, we toured their raw material storage area, washing and sorting workshops, production processing lines, and finished product warehouse.

With business expansion, waste accumulation had become a critical pain point hindering production efficiency – the old manual injection molding machines were overwhelmed, particularly by the nearly 100 tons of various recycled plastics processed monthly. A more efficient and intelligent recycling solution was urgently needed.

The client’s raw material mix consists primarily of PP and PE (about 70%), with PET, ABS, PA6, etc., comprising the remaining 30%, and includes a small amount of calcium carbonate.

It can be categorized into two main types:

A smaller portion of floated, high-quality washed material, suitable for injection molding;

The sunken materials occasionally contained metal impurities, necessitating thorough front-end sorting and removal to ensure complete elimination of metal components, laying a solid foundation for subsequent pallet production.

During discussions, the client raised several key questions:

  • How to process raw materials efficiently?
  • How to reduce energy consumption and labor dependency?
  • How to enhance product market competitiveness while ensuring it meets standards?

The client posed a specific challenge: Could the pallet thickness be reduced from 50mm to 40mm?

Through innovative structural redesign, we successfully overcame this hurdle. The resulting 40mm thin-profile pallet maintains an impressive load capacity of 1 ton, further demonstrating ThoYu’s ability to provide customized technical solutions.

As of now, the project has been fully finalized. Mechanical, electrical, and mold design will be completed by the end of September, with all equipment manufacturing finished by the end of November. Shipment and preliminary installation guidance are expected within the following three months.
